Rajat tells Tapsi not to wed Lucky because he is unfit since he refuses to accept responsibilities. He gives her a blank cheque, tells her that his family would support her and the child, and exhorts her to make the right decision. Tapsi, however, responds fiercely, claiming that he disproved her belief that he was unique. Rajat leaves the bill on the table and goes, disheartened.
Bhagyashree confronts Rajat when he gets home, asking if he kept his word to Tapsi that he would set up her marriage to Lucky. She adamantly states that Tapsi will never be allowed to be her daughter-in-law. Rajat explains that he didn’t guarantee anything like that. Let Tapsi make her own decisions. Then, while Sai and Savi are sleeping, he checks on them. While there, he discovers that Anubhav is unwilling to leave his wife after seeing a message that Anubhav sent to Savi. Desperate, Tapsi considers taking her own life. The doorbell rings just as she is about to take action. When she answers the door, she sees Arsh, who she knows to be Kiyaan’s dad.
The next day, Rajat gets a formal notification and tells his family that Tapsi has accused Lucky of sexual harassment. Startled, Lucky remarks that since he never coerced Tapsi, she is unable to complain about him. Rajat responds by slapping him and advising him to deal with the matter alone. Lucky is defended by Bhagyashree, who charges Tapsi with malevolent intent; however, Rajat declines to step in and lets them handle the situation. Distressed by the development, Savi chooses to talk to Tapsi in the interim.
Without disclosing his role, Rajat contacts Dharam in private and requests his help for Bhagyashree and Lucky. Dharam concurs. Arsh gloatingly proclaims at his office that Rajat’s demise is certain. When Jigar asks about his strategy, Arsh says he helped Tapsi file the lawsuit against Lucky and persuaded her to stand up for her rights. Jigar acknowledges admiration for Arsh after being astonished by his ability to manipulate others. After thereafter, Arsh gives Jigar instructions to start a rumour that Ashika has given up her right to live with him. Mrunmayi becomes dubious of Arsh’s motives after hearing this.

Tapsi accuses Rajat of degrading her by providing her a blank cheque in exchange for her respect, and Savi confronts her. Tapsi insists that Savi should specify the amount she should put on that cheque if she understands the worth of my respect. Tapsi is adamant despite Savi’s pleas for her to drop the lawsuit against Lucky and her denial of any knowledge of Rajat’s acts. Later, when Lucky doesn’t answer her calls, Savi becomes more and more agitated.
